Default HELP - Winch wont spool in??

Hey guys,

I am heading out on Thursday do some Jeeping and just discovered that my winch wont spool in. It will spool out....but not in. What is the cause and what do I need to do to fix it?

Thanks,
Matador

What's the brand?
Does it make any sound at all like something stuck not allowing to spin or just plain dead?
Did you double-check the electrical connections to the control box?
Did you open the control box and checked whether the solenoid is operating?

There are so many variables,

I'd also give the manufacturer a call for advice.

Open the solenoid housing and clean all the connections, make sure the hardware on the solenoids aren't rusted to the point where it's not conducting.
