Hi lift jack
There are kits for the tail gate with drilling required and kits that will mount it to the roll bar inside the JK. You can also make your own mount by bolting it through the rear frame crossbar (there are a few threads on this method).

But, back to your question. Looking at photos of snorkels and those above of the ToughStuff mount, I don't think that there's any reason that there will be interference. In case you don't know, there's nothing under the hood affected by the ToughStuff mount (you can read my write-up here on the forum, if you want).

Where are your write ups? I like the look on the hood alot. Dunno how it would look with a snorkel also tho.

As soon as all this rain stops, I’m planning on using some steel bar I have and welding 1/2" bolts through it. I also got some twist on "nuts" in 1/2". Not sure what these are officially.
I plan to bolt the mount setup on my RR modular front bumper so that it can be removed when no in use. I go a 60" as a present. It is very heavy and I would rather have the 48" but I'm happy with any gifts I can get.
I guess the setup you chose depends on how much you want to show it off and how often you plan to use it. They look pretty bad ass on the hood or front bumper, but they also add a good amount of weight as a hood ornament if not being used regularly.

Having it on the hood is not practical. The Hi-Lift is decently heavy and one day, you'll probably slip putting it up and dent the hell out of your hood. The exterior ones are cheesy and rattle like hell, I've had both. Now, I'm going to the River Raider mount that mounts to the rear of the rear rollbar. The good thing about that, is that it keeps it out of the weather.

i looked at the river raider mount, now i only have seen it on a 2 door not a 4. (i have a 4). They say it dosent get int he way on lowering a softtop, but i cant see how that is possible. Any one have it on a softtop 4 door? Can i see a pic with top down?
I made the mount to put it on my hood. I couldn't see paying over $100. for it. As for the rust issue, mine has been on there for over a year and it's not an issue. Eventually I'll have too touch it up but it's a HiLift Jack? As for the weight issue It's a HiLift Jack? Not heavy. I suppose there will be that time that you slip trying to attach it to your tailgate or roll bar and hit something too. Also if you have a big lift than the hood mount might not be your first choice but I'm 6'4" and don't have that issue.
P.S. I have a friend that has a tailgate mount and it loosens up on him all the time.
