Default high flow water pump

Anyone replaced there original water pump with an after market high flow pump?? Lower operating temps, possibly solving pinging issues? No expert just curious see if this would help the engine out a lil.

I'm pretty sure the stock water pump can push more water than is necessary.
People haven't had engine heat problems that didn't have some other cause.

I wouldn't go there either. If you're having overheating issues, something else is in play. If you're just some place where your always dealing with warmer temperatures a bottle of Water Wetter will do the trick. If you have a programmer you can use a lower degree thermostat and reduce your fan on temperatures. With the lower degree thermostat you need to make sure that the ambient air temperatures are at least 60+ degrees or else you'll never get enough operating temperature to evaporate condensation in the oil pan and be running inefficiently with a fat fuel mixture until you do.
