Default high pitch ringing....

My JK unlimited has a high pitch whine / ringing upon acceleration up to about 40 mph. It almost sounds like an electrical whine, but it is not.

I had new gears installed about 7K ago, and there has been no problems. The whine started about 1000 miles ago. I had the gears checked, and all is fine on the inside. Changed the diff fluids and all was normal.

The gear shop seems to think the problem is in my drive shaft as there is a few small "dings" in it, but only superficial. They are a very trusted shop and did not try to sell me a new driveshaft, but recommened I get a new one.

Any ideas on the noise ??????

Thanks

Do you have a throttle body spacer? They will cause a high pitched whine.

I take it that it doesn't do it when not in gear? Neutral (or park) when you hit the skinny pedal?
