Default Hitch Drop Question on a Lifted Jeep

This Thursday I am getting a 4 inch lift installed on my 2016 JK with 35 inch tires. I have a small 4 x 8 trailer now and use a 4 inch drop. Does anyone know how to calculate or what drop I will need with these new modifications? Thanks for the help.

Hard to guess because you really need to have both halves set up the way it's going to be, and within reach of each other. You could guess how much higher the Jeep will be or just wait. Here's a good link on how to measure. https://www.etrailer.com/faq-ballmount.aspx

Hmm.

4" drop now.
Frame is going up 4" due to lift.
32" tire (?) to 35" tire. 3" height difference, or 1.5" increase for the frame.

4 + 4 + 1.5 = ?

Or just wait until the lift and tires are on, back up to trailer, and measure...

Wait and measure. I've been fine with a 2" drop for quite a while then bumped to 35's and needed a larger drop.

Just FYI- a 4" kit is a similar lie to tire size, you won't see every inch they're selling you. 35's will measure up short as well.

I would just install a 5.5" lift on the trailer so you can still use your 4" drop hitch.

This^^^^

Wait until you are completely done and measure. I run an adjustable hitch receiver and use the 9.5" drop setting. My pop up is lifted from the factory but where my hitch mount connects to the Jeep bumper is elevated. Trailer & Jeep handle well together and feel safe. 2 door with a 1500lb loaded pop up.
