Do you have an old oven available for use?

An old oven would be easy, but I never see sandblasting equipment at the thrift store.

A little off-topic, but along the same lines:

I was just talking to my wife's uncle, who's a production manager at a powdercoating shop in RI... I asked him if he'd be able to coat some things for me, and he said "The minimum order is $200, unless you know a production manager."

So, what should I get coated? I was thinking of buying some of the billet replacement pieces that they sell online (door handles, hinges, hood latches, etc.) and having him coat those for me in a nice gun metal finish... do you think that would that look good against Jeep green paint?

an easy way to get instructions is to goole there are plenty of different sites to purchase the different colors and everything it isn't really that hard a somewhat inexpensive gun can be purchased through Harbor Freight and honestly I have used my own house ove (yes I'm single) to back the powder coating on. It takes like a hour or so at around 350degrees (times vary with different coatings) so depending on the size of part you want done as long as it can fit in a covectional oven you can do it yourself farily cheap and then you can charge your buddies to make up your cost for what you spent on the system. If you do decide to do it yourself instead of paying highdollar for a durable paint job be sure to check for specific times and temperatures on the coating you go with.

May be a dumb question, but why an old oven? Does it do something bad if I used the one in the kitchen?

You can buy a sand blaster at horrible freight for under $100.00. I priced them about a year ago to do some stuff on my atv.

PS. thats Harbor freight for you folks that have never broken/bought something from there.
