Default hood latches?

Anyone replaced thier hood latches? Passenger side just can't figure out how to get to the bolt. Any ideas?

Yep.....use a pair of channel locks or vise grips on each side of the plastic bolt head twist one clockwise and the other counter clockwise.....it should (snap) twist right off. I used a pair channel locks on one side and a pair of vise grips on the other end and just twisted them opposite directions and they twisted right off and then when I went to install the daystar hood wranglers i had to drill out the bottom hood latch holes for the daystar bolt and nut assembly to fit through the plastic bottom hood latch itself so don't be suprised when this happens and I did this all with the latches still on the jeep.....hope this helps

I didn't take mine off the jeep.....I couldn't get a wrench to the bolt/nut assembly so i just twisted the rubber pins off like in the directions that came with the hood wranglers from daystar....if thats what your installing you really don't have to remove the latches to do the install......if your replacing your hood latches i read here somewhere that you might have to remove some hardware to get to the hood latch nut.....
