Hood latches give too much on highway

I actually had the daystar for 2 years now still in the box! Lol.

I just have these foam strips where the hood makes contact with corner on fenders so now the hood snuggles in the foam preventing less hood flutter and more cushion for the pushin.

I'm looking at these off of e Bay.. Looks like its just a steel square tube with ends welded on it... hmmm

The only set I'd avoid that I had, was AMI's billet hold downs, they look great but the quick release holes hog out making flutter worse than OE.

If your talking about the hood flutter when driving on the highway. You know, your hood bouncing up and down and what not. All you need to do is remove the spring right next to the latch. Aftermarket side latches aren't made to stop your hood from doing that.

Take a look at the new Rugged Ridge. Heavy duty billett aluminum, very solid, beefy, and go along with the look of the JK. I got mine form Jeephut $88.00 shipped.

I went with the Drake set. I like the look and have had no problems what so ever. Also got the black turnbuckles and they look awesome!
