Default Hood Louvers

Has anyone seen or know if this is in development: replacement hood windshield bumpers that have a 'grill/louvered opening'? I figure if we just swap out those solid windshield bumpers with some openings--we have instant engine cooling without any extra drilling.

Thoughts?

I've had the rubber bumper out for a year. It does very little for cooling. However I just bought a used hood for 100 bucks from a guy who bought a AEV heat reduction hood. My plans are to find a vent or scoop and mount those. I have been looking for GTP vents bought have been striking out. I will post a thread in a week or so when I find a big enough vent to make a cooling difference.

I actually just saw these in Petersons 4Wheel & Offroad today in an advertisement. They look cool enough and might be worth looking into.

You could easily install hood louvers over where the windshield bumpers go:

Anyone else done hood vents or louvers? I was thinking of getting some sort of louvers and running them along the side ala the AEV heat reduction hood. I've been toying with the idea of the louvers up the side and possibly either going with louvers on the top of the hood or a scoop that would provide some actual cooling. The engine runs so damn hot.

Update I found a large scoop / vent at Autozone I'm considering. It's large enough that I can mount a small 12 volt radiator fan under neath. I'm thinking this will work slick for the trails. I can trun the fan on and push the hot air out at low speeds.
