It's probably cheaper or easier to trade up to a 2012 which comes with the 285hp 3.6.

Superchargers are available for the 3.8...there's a couple guys running them here on the forums. They can tell you more about cost and headache more than I can.

I owned a 3.8, although it was a 2-door. It was slow, but it was a good motor and got the job done, on-road and off-road.

How much do you have to spend? Doing forced induction on the cheap will only lead to problems down the road.

It's cheaper and safer to just upgrade to a '12+. Any forced induction runs the risk of blowing up the motor.

Your looking at 5000 for a turbo. But it will give you all the power you want.

Forced induction that is not done right will only lead to the potential for leaning out the engine and causing detonation. Running an engine to lean will melt the pistons. Even if you have the correct AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) you still run the risk of running to much boost and blowing a head gasket.

The best way to add forced induction is to lower the compression ratio and add in boost. It will make way more power than running the little amount of boost that you can (safely) with a normally aspirated engine.
