Default HOT OIL LIGHT/ what do i need to fix this

lots of write ups on this subject little background on my jeep that i have its a 2007 JK serra unlimited 3 1/2 inch lift 35inch tires 4:10 gears (automatic)

this light came on one day on the highway was in normal drive going about 75mph on the highway. pulled off let the vehicle cool down and creeped it home.

2nd time it came on I was towing a 18 foot bayliner boat dont think it weights more then the capacity of 3500 lbs.

i'm having the transmition cooler installed today is there anything else I need to do to the jeep to keep this light from coming back

both days was about 90 outside

took it to a shop for the install of the cooler they looked at the transmition and cant see any damage just said I fried the fluid that he can tell

cooler, softwear update and transmition flush was a painfull 600 bucks

Buy a tunner to set up speedo... A tunner with gauge, like vivid or bully dog...
A regear will help also...
I hava a 2007, auto with 35s... I had 4.10 a my trans used to get hot... Now with 5.13 the thing is better... If you drive one regeared, you will see that it worts every penny!!

Those codes relate to the transmission overheating and the torque converter clutch slipping.

The cooler should take care of most of the heat issues. I would also install a transmission temp gauge.

^ Agree.

A tranny flush, and cooler is a lot cheaper than an entire rebuild. Trust me I know.....

Yea get a tuner. It will allow you to calibrate your speedometer which will correct your shift points and allow the transmission to work closer to the stock paremeters. A re-gear will help as well as far as the towing
