Default How big a hit is my steering going to take if I lift my JK 4" and put on 37s?

How bad does the steering suffer with 37s?

Is everyone with 37s on their JKs running a PSC Cylinder Assist? Is it necessary?

And if you are running a PSC Cylinder Assist, are you also using a PSC High Volume Steering Pump Kit as well?

Thanks for any info!

PSC is the only way to go I'm running a 3 inch lift kit with 40 inch tires.
I'm running nemesis fenders I gained 3 inch inches of clearance.
Once you get above 35 inch tires everything changes.
also going to need a set a heavy-duty ball joints........ won't last 15,000 miles with tires over 35 inches

I ran 37 on my 12 jkur with no issues. No ram assist, no ball joints, no drive shafts. Only Cs and sleeves.

At some point I say yes you will need to upgrade your steering, if you find yourself pushing the the JK.
When this happens, you aren't going any where.

I would think one would want to support the steering box with some sort of frame brace. Lot of force down there, especially with large tires and a hydro Ram assist.

I've had a 2008 and a 2012 with 37's and never ran an assist. They are not necessary but are very nice to have . Now in my 2008 I did add a power steering cooler to it, to help keep the temps down.

Thanks for the replies. Just trying to figure out what I will have to do right away with the lift versus what I will want/need to do in the future.
