How can I eliminate my ESP/Traction control
I have had problems with this since day one. After a day of trails and I bend a tie rod or drag link my jeep won't let me drive down windy roads. I have had problems with it pulling me off the road to one side or the other.
I was told to cut a purple wire with a blue stripe on it and that it was located in my center console.
any body done this?

This is not a first time problem. I have fixed and replaced many of the front end parts alot. Ive killed tie rods drag links ball joints axles and even bent the axle tube.
Since I hurt my jeep so offten I want it disconected.
Oh its an early modle 07 with d35 and d30 and Auto

Just follow the write up. It works great. I did it a few months ago. No problems with it since. Now I can spin my 35s on the road and do doughnuts in the sand. No DTCs ever came up either.

Here's from the post I wrote when I did it. It's an '07 Unlimited Sahara with an auto. I don't know if that will impact any of the specific wiring, but just in case.
"It's probably elsewhere, but under the console is a big bunch of wires running from the front to the back on the driver's side of the e-brake handle. Inside of this bundle are two purple wires with LIGHT blue stripes. One is wound with a white wire. That's NOT the one you want. There is another one running alongside it that is purple with a DARK blue stripe. You want the one with the LIGHT blue stripe that's not wound with the white wire. I turned on the Jeep when I cut the purple and light blue stripe wire just to be sure and the lights came right on. Then splice in some extra wire and add your toggle. Sorry about the lack of picts, but it's buttoned back together and I'm not yanking the console again if I can help it."
BTW This also disables the ABS as well.

There is an electronic (non-wire) computer perminant disable for, I got it from a dealer when mine kept taking over and trying to flip my jeep on the highway... I'll look around see if I find the sheet
