Default How difficult is it to add a turn down fitting to an offroad shock?

I bought a set of Radflo coilovers, but need to have a fitting installed that turns the reservoir hose down away from the tub in the rear. I can send them back to radflo, but being I cut off the stock rear shock mounts and sold my springs I won't have a way to move the Jeep around for a few weeks if I do.

I know I have to drain the nitrogen, and get it filled again, but other than that is it rather straight forward? With the nitrogen removed will the shocks still have pressure causing fluid to leak out if I remove the upper fitting and install a new one?

I have a fair amount of mechanical knowledge, but this will be the first time I take apart a shock.

Thanks in advance!
