Default How do you store tires?

I put 35's on my stock rims and I still have my stock Sahara tires sitting on an old piece of carpet in the basement. Instead of selling them for almost nothing I thought I would hang on to them for a while. If I deciced to upgrade to a Ruby in a few years and wanted to sell the Sahara, I could just put them back on. Do I need to worry about anything if they sit in the basement for a few years? Will they get flat spots, dry rot, anything I should consider to keep them in good condition?

Air them down, Armor-all them and store them stacked lying flat on the ground. That will prevent any damage. Rubber deteriorates over time. If you keep them clean and re-armor all them occasionally, they shouldn't dry rot for a while.
