How to dress up the rear of the jeep with no tire carrier!
I've got the GenRight rear bumper with some LED's in it but never considered adding a light bar to the shelf. The GR is pretty low profile and allows plenty of room for your tires to move.
You could go that route or get some flush mount LED's (rigid works well) and sink those in the bumper- factory or aftermarket. I mounted a flush light into the rear valence of a GTI.

Probably differs from state to state but we are not required to run them here in Ohio so screw them...I painted the vent openings on my 09 body color while I was mocking and fabbing my custom bumper and tire carrier and it looked pretty cool and painted the bolts for the original carrier and reinstalled them to complete the look.
I'm not running a tire carrier and have the Swag Offroad plate and aftermarket clear taillights. I like it a lot. The Swag Offroad plate comes with all hardware and uses existing holes in the tailgate. The only thing I had to get extra was some rubber plugs for the two holes that the tire bump stops were in.
