Default How much will tires stick out....backspacing question?

Hey guys. I was looking at getting a set of eagle alloy series 185 with the black center and either 33 or 34x 12.5 tires. The eagle website states that this wheel on a 5x5 bolt pattern 16x8 has a backspacing of 4". How much would this backspacing and 12.5 width tire stick out past the flare? I am looking for the wide tire stance.
Also any fitment issues with these wheels in a 16x8?
Any suggestions on a tire brand that might help with the wide stance? Any pics or help is very appreciated! Thank you!

The stock wheel has 6.25 backspace-so if you go to 4"-they will stick out 2.25" further than stock plus 1/2 the width of how much wider tire than stock you put on. Check of the modified forum under new questions for newbies-lots of good info on wheels and backspacing.

So like you mentioned above, stock is 6.25-4=2.25" further out. Add the 12.5 wide tire which is between 12 and 12.5 actual width. So it sounds like they would stick out about 3.25" or so. I wonder if that would be too much, I like the wider stance but not overly done lol. Do any of you guys have pics of this setup of 4" bs and 12.5 wide tire? Thanks a lot!

I have 33x12.5 Duratracs on a rim with 4" of backspace. My tires stick out a good 3" past the fender flares.

Those are 35x12.5R17's on 17x9 -12mm offset (4.5"BS) I'm on 4" of lift so it's kind of hard to tell how far they stick out from the stock fender. I would say no more than 3/4" @ 31psi. And it's mostly sidewall, a tiny fraction of tread is out past the fender. Cop signed off on it for my fix it ticket after I took my spacers off...So I guess it's legal

Here's my 33x12.5 duratracs with 3.75" backspacing. They stick out quite a bit, but I like it.
