Default How to secure(lock) tube doors?

How do I lock or secure my tube doors to keep someone from stealing them when I am not in the JK? They are made by Rancho.

Do they utilize the stock bolts from the standard door? My tube doors do (they are Warrior tube doors). I am sure if someone wanted to steal them they could, but they would have to unbolt the doors not just lift them off.

I dunno-- Just guessin... But maybe run a longer bolt-- drill a hole through it and attach a very small lock

My bestop doors have locks on the paddle handles. The lock can only be opened with a key and if locked you can not remove the doors.

Thanks. My Rancho doors do no tuse the nuts from the standard doors. They use a plain ole 3/8 nut. There is not a lock on the paddle handles. I have considered drilling a hole in the bolt and using a pad lock. However, the pad lock would flail around and maybe dent the JK.

My next thought is 'out of site, out of mind'; Maybe I can make something that will cover the hinges(padding or net) so that it is not so obvious that they are just sitting there.

I don't know (thinking probably not) if these would work with a JK but this would be an alternative when they come out. I know there are other makers also.

We don't have a theft problem here. I would hate to start down a path of locking everything up. What's next locks on the seat bolts, etc, etc.

I really wouldn't worry about it. You can't be a top-off, doors-off kind of guy and worry about such things.

Instead, let your insurance agent worry about it. . . . that's what you pay him for!

If not the lock-- then maybe a BIG-arsed cotter pin...after bending it- cut down the ends so there aint a lot of leverage to bend them back.

Do the Tube doors work with the Snetry system? I mean if you open a door when the Alarm is on the Alarm goes off.... As said I dont have the tube doors so I dunno if there's a provision for the Sentry with these type doors

try a standard nut and then a knurled nut or even better, a smooth nut ....where one would have to use a vice grip and wrench to take it apart. That should deter the average screwball.
