Question How stupid am I?

Now, i know i opened a huge door to many answers with that title, but I am questioning the order I am doing things.
People, throw your advice at me.
(youre welcome to make fun of me too)

With an extraordinary amount of weight on my tailgate from these beastly wheels and tires, I have been shopping for a tire carrier/rear bumper.
I saved some paper, and narrowed it down to two: the Olympic Smuggler, and the LOD Sig Series. I had not yet decided, because LOD doesnt yet have a full width front bumper to go with it, and olympics (though incredibly mean looking) both look to be very heavy.

Then I lost my mind.
Usually I set my goals and reach them with no problems.
This time i just started spending money on other stuff......
This week I have:
ordered a Superchips Flashpaq
arranged for 5.13 gears (need to choose brand)
and custom high flow exhaust installation with performance shop (tattoo trades can be incredibly convenient)

So theoretically, my JK should move.

However, now my bumper money is gone.
am I in danger of losing my tailgate?
The tire wiggles when I shut the gate, but no more movement than that.
Should I have gotten the bumper first?
Should I have considered 4.88 for better highway travel?
Am I making a mistake getting gears but not lockers right now?

I don't know if the tire will hurt your tailgate (it is a pretty big tire!) but you ordered some really cool stuff!

I'd stay with the 5:13 gears with your auto and those BIG shoes! It would save you a little $ if you went ahead and got the lockers while you were getting the gears.

Check out the expedition one tire carrier. It opens with the tail gate at the same time. I wish I knew before I went with another brand.

Will be installing 5:38's soon as well

For what you paid for the superchip you coulda got a frt auto locker. Wayyy better for you off-road and wouldn't cost for install cause your gettin gears done. Anyway, that's what I did. Oh btw, 5.13's kick ass, your so gonna love them.

its not like a race car, you arent loosing all your top end/cruising speed.....5:13's with 35's and auto are PERFECT.....I've driven 30+k and most of it highway, you can cruise at 80 if you want no problem, I stay around 65-70 running 2500rpm or so, right where our 3.8's are good, I can still pass someone without problem..at 80mph the other day I was at 2700-2800rpm

I love my 5.13s I wish I new you were thiking about them when I saw you at Barnwell you could have gave it a try. They won't be as low as you think they will be. Those 36s will be way more fun. do you have 4.10s now?

x2, I drive 60-70mph on highways and backroads every day, cruise at 80mph on the interstate. I feel like a speed demon now. Almost hate to go up in tire size.
