Default How wide?

How wide of a 33' can I put on stock suspension stock wheel without any rubbing? I want the tires to stick out some. I will also be adding 1.5 inch wheels spacers. If I can't get far enough out I will skip out on the spacers and get new wheels with ? Spacing?

I don't know if this will help or not...but i have 33x 12.5 x 15 tires on 15x10 wheels with 3.75" backspacing. they stick out a lot. Definitely not passable by inspection.

But i love the aggressive stance. its worth swapping out for the stock wheels once a year for inspection.

If you're adding spacers, I think you can go 12.5". Without spacers up to 11". Or so I've been told since I've been asking the same question.

Here are 285 70 17 Duratrac's on Dick Cepek DC 2 Wheels with 4.5" backspacing. No lift. Just a stock suspension. No rubbing at all. To me it is perfect, they stick out just a little but not too much.

I've got some 285/75/17 KM2's, i put them on the stock wheels without wheel spacers and had no rubbing at all but it was tight, they're 11.3" inches wide and right under 34" inches tall. They looked a bit too tucked into the fenders so i added the 1.5" spacers to get the look i wanted, now they stick out past the fender about 1/2" at the most but thats a huge difference to me stance wise.
Originally I wanted to go with the 305/70/17 KM2's they are the exact same height but they're 12.2" inches wide, if i had chosen these tires i would of def had gotten new wheels (weren't in my budget unfortunately ). I think they would of stuck out too far past the fender with just the spacers but then again someone else might like that look.

Just my
Good luck with the desicion making, it kinda sucks when choosing wheel/tire combos way too many options...lol

Not much of a straight side shot, best i had

Thankfully I live in Texas so I don't have to worry about inspection. There really are so many options for jeeps it blows my mind. Especially when you start considering all parts and not just wheels and tires. I considered trying to squeeze 295 70 17 nittos with some wheel spacers. They are roughly 11.6 wide when you use a converter but manufacture site list them a lot closer to 12'. Looks like now I need to decide if I want to do tires and spacers or tires and wheels. Lol
