Howe ram assist
Just put my rig in for a Howe Ram assist set up. The stock was on its last leg and it would leak when I went out on the rock to play. I am so done with the underpowered stock setup that I have been dealing with for years. It just can’t handle the 35’s. Hell I’m not sure if it handled the 32’s it came with. I am so pumped! I will post some pics when it is done in a week or so.

Howe is local for me and I know they have been doing quality work for as long as I can remember. I don't know the owner Jeff. But we have many of the same friends. They all say he is one of thoughts guys that pay attention to details. As far as I know they are the only company that does the internal stop inside the steering box too. So it was a no brainier for me. I don't have a parts list yet or a price but I will let you know when I get it.
My box (Older non chinese Delphi) already had bumps welded in from the factory. Howe later told me they welded in their own which kinda ticked me off. If you get a pump, make sure to get his least flowing valving. I got the medium initially which was absolutely awesome at slower speeds but too sketchy highway driving.

Thanks for the tip TOTL Innovations I will check in to that for sure because we still drive it on the street 50% of the time.
I knew something was not right in the steering but everything looked good. So the steering gear went to Howe and they had a hard time getting it to come apart. They magnafluxed the housing and found that it had a small crack in it and that’s why it would leek fluid under the strain of rock crawling, not the seal that is a few bucks. The sector shaft was also bent. So I found a used box for $425 and I am getting the Synergy sector shaft brace for another $200 so it won’t happen to me again.

Also I dont know what your budget is but based on the valving he was telling me on the phone, the stock pump was very close to where I am now. It might be worth it to try it with the stock pump first and upgrade later if needed if you are on a budget.
