hypertech max energy (first impressions)
My first impressions of the Hypertech Max Energy was good. Not a bit of problem with it - until today. Swapped tires/wheels for a road trip, reprogrammed the tire size, and now the Jeep won't stay running. Of course, Hypertech is closed on weekends.
Looking through the threads, 3 others had the same problem. Four instances of Hypertech turning the Jeep into a vegetable are three too many for my tastes. I could understand the occasional blip - every product has them. But having a known bug that disables the Jeep is not building much product loyalty in me.
By the way, the road trip is obviously canceled.

I did have a problem one time with my truck and the SC over a weekend where it wouldn't take a tune because of a download issue, but at least I was able to get it back to stock to roll until Monday. Fortunately the solution was pretty simple, just made sure the download wasn't interrupted by a screensaver and all was good.
Important note to self though was to never again do a weekend software update.
Lesson learned. OK. Maybe not "learned", but lesson understood until the next time I try something on a Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, I have a 4,000 lb paper weight sitting in the garage. On a weekend. Crap. Gotta stop thinking about it!!
But being from Arizona with all the rattlesnakes and all, you'd think I'd be used to it by now. Come to think of it, I've never been bitten in the A$$ by a rattlesnake.
Wish I had the ball$ not to use the $ for an "s".
