Default I need a new floor jack

I am needing to pick up a new floor jack. I have had a small one for many years and it still works great, but just doesn't lift high enough for my new Unlimited Sahara. What are you using? Any recommendations or ones to stay away from? I stopped by Northern Tool the other day and they had a Tarin 1 1/2 ton aluminum jack that looked nice. I am just not sure if that would be enough. Should I go for a 3 ton? How high do I need it to lift? Most of what I saw have a max lift of 17" to 20".

while you are shopping around for a jack don't forget to pick up a set of jackstands as well. Auto Zone has a good extended height jack and stand set that are more than sufficient for a home garage.

For me, I like to get one that can go at least 20" or more. Certianly, if you're planning on lifting your Jeep, higher is definitely better.
