the BD and superlift use the same coils according to superlift. Yes it is advertised as a 3", but the majority of users end up with 4inches of lift.

Well, I just got done installing my lift and tire combo. I have the black diamond 3" lift, Pro Comp ES9000's, and Medalist Mud King 35/12.50R15 with Crager Soft 8's. I will have pics up later on.

the install went fairly easy. I had some minor problems with the shocks (didn't have the correct mounting hardware). But with some engineering and work I salvaged the bar pins from the stock shocks. Other then that, it was a decent install and not to bad.

things I learned:

1. Have a buddy who has lifted a jeep or several jeeps to help. I am a fairly decent mechanic, but he showed me tricks I would have never thought off.

2. Have the PROPER tools. I have a incredibly nice collection of tools, but I dont hnave any of the odd ball stuff (brake line bender/straightner).

3. Relearn how to get out of the jeep properly. After the shake down run, I promptly face planted into the ground cause I forgot how high Iwas in the air.

4. Plan the entire day and have nothing else planned that day.

Other then that it was fairly simple. I will have pics later on.

In reference to #3. Was that really a height issue or was it a Beer issue?

I have the 3.73 gears with auto tranny. I haven't been able to gather mpg data since I just installed the lift kit. I can say that driving around city, I noticed very minimal power loss. on the freeway I can keep in OD on a long straight. however I turn off OD and cruise at 2400RPM. With that being said, I will not regear. this way I keep the lifetime warranty. I will be keeping tabs this week.

Ok. So since I installed the lift I was unhappy with 2 things. I had a defective tire (which summit racing replaced) and I kept hearing this tin sound clank. So I just got back from the tire shop having the defective tire replaced, and they pointed out to me that I forgot to put the last shock bolt in. So the clanking sound was my shock bouncing around. As of right now, my jeep rides better then stock, and is just as quiet with the 35's. I am truely impressed. For a short while I had considered going back to stock for ride quality. But now I am keeping it all.
