an Idea... how possiable is this?
I have a 09 rubi on 2.5'' TF coils with shocks...
I had planned on going 35's with this setup with 18 inch rims but lately I have been kinda getting my self in over my head and wondering what 37's would need...
If I ran 37's on my stock 17's
I would need spacers for sure.... but what else would I need...
with 2.5'' lift coils I am going to have to cut fenders... or get flat fenders...
what about the front bumper ? I wanted to go stubby but I dont have the $$ for it just yet... (due to the wheels $$)
what about pinch welds or anything like that ???
if someone wants to be rad and do a photo compairison of 18's on 35's and then 17's on 37's that would be cool....

Lots of stock fender chop and stock bumper chop threads in the write-ups area to help you out.
Fender Chop:

Bumper Chop: (this one uses rivets. There are others in there somewhere that heat and fold, that look better I think...)

There are threads on the Pinch Seam mod also, either cut off the corner or use a big hammer and bend it back...

thanks for the tips but I do not want to cut the stock stuff....
I am wondering what changes are 100% needed for 37's on 2.5'' coils
and how wide tire wise I can go on stock rims too... I would rather go with aftermarket fenders then a home chop, but if its not even needed it would be good to know (I am pretty sure something is needed)
thanks though
You're gonna have to cut your rock rails and trim the pinch seam. Even running flat fenders I dont see you getting away with only a 2.5 lift. We had a 4" lift running Xenons and that was too close for comfort.
My suggestions.... Stick w/ the 35's and the setup you were planning

Keep in mind if you plan on returning your JK back to stock you will have an issue with that if you install Xenon flares. For starters you have to drill out the rear mounting holes to accomodate the nut inserts that the Xenon Flares use. Also it's recommended that you reuse your wheel well liners with the Xenon flares. The only way to do that is to trim the liners....
I could be wrong, however I would think you have to trim the pinch seam and cut your Rubicon Rock rails even if you plan to run 35's

thank you very much everyone who helped out with this....
I am not going to push for 37's because I do not have the $$ or the will to cut and bfh some stuff just yet...
35's on the 2.5'' should be fine for now... when I decide to purchase for good then I will prob jump to a 4'' lift or more and 37's
thats down the line...
This bug is badddd hahahaha I want more and more and more and my wallet cries out in agony!!
