Default Ideal Tire Pressure for Freeway

I usually run my 35'' km2's @ 30 psi around town for comfort. What's the ideal pressure for freeway speeds in regard to getting the best tread life/ least heat generation? I was thinking 35-40? The max is listed as 50psi. Even 40 sounds high to me...what are your opinions?

I've been running the 35" Toyos at about 29 with freeway driving, more than that and I'd worry about uneven wear. I'd think you'd be good at 30 psi.

Getting a tread depth gauge, and using it regularly is a good suggestion.
I'm at 9K miles and mine have been shockingly even.

Sounds good. I kind of figured you'd want to run higher pressure to reduce temps, with hi temps being what would degrade tread faster. If you guys are all running ~30 though with even treadware I'll just stick with that.

I run ~37 PSI in my 35" KM2s when taking a road trip. I like the ride better at highway speeds and the gas mileage is MUCH better (getting 19 MPG on highway).

If I am going on a long road (freeway trip) I run mine at 40psi and then air back down to between 30 - 35 once I get where I am going.

I'm running 30-32 psi. Even wear except for the chunks.
