Default Ideas for plastic fender fadding?

I've got an 08 and my plastic is beginning to fade. I was wondering what everyone is using to protect them from the inevitable. I heard armor all isnt to be used on them.

There is a company called Island Girl Products, they make products to refirbish fiberglass boats. Their products are awesome, have a 25 year old sailboat that looks new again. They have systems for plastic and fiberglass, check out thier website. I hope its ok to reccomend a product that is not a sponsor. but this stuff works

All you can do is paint it with something like SEM Color Coat which is higher quality aerosol that actually matches from can to can.

Protectants/Armor All type stuff adds a fake eye appealing shine just like waxing your vehicle does....its a microscopic layer of whatever doesn't prolong the life of anything but it does cosmetically cover up the decay for a price.

Other than all I can recommend is don't buy another Chrysler product in the future.

This really is a detail issue. Soap from regular car washing will build up on the pastic fender. If you have the vehicle waxed or wax it yourself the paint wax will leave a nasty white/fading effect on the plastic black fender. Clean the black pastic on your vehicle with a light solution of dish soap and water only. Ajax works very well on plastics and you may have to scub it with on light body bush. Then follow up with any good body shine or tire trim and your black pastic will look new again. Fading is possible but takes about 5/6 years on most modern vehicle in a desert climate.
