Identifying a gear set?
Since I bought my JK used from a dealer and it had a great deal done aftermarket wise to it and I didn't get a chance to talk to the previous owner how can I tell if I have the stock gears or aftermarket ones short of popping off the Diff cover and counting teeth?
Once again I'm new JK's and the wrangler community in general... Previously was into XJ's for a while...
The only reason why I ask is because the previous owner took the time to install "Solid" diff covers, and since I have a feeling a shop built the car for the owner I'm questioning...
Here's what I have:
2009 Saraha Unlimited
AEV Premium Front Bumper w/ IPF Lights
AEV 3.5" SC Lift
AEV 17" Pintler wheels w/ 35" MT BAJA ATZ
Fab Fours rear bumper w/ Tire carrier
Solid Diff Covers
aFe Intake (Just added)
Thanks for your patience, still learning a bunch about the JK!

Read this thread. On one of the post's it tells you how to check it by just rotating a tire. Hope that helps
