Thumbs up

I'm currently running 35/12.50/17 Pro Comp Xtreme A/T and have 38K on them. They still have more than half the tread lug left on them, very little road noise, and still handle great in the snow and rain. When the time comes to get new tires I'm getting these bad boys again from Quadratec. They had the best price and only took a few days to get all five delivered.

My previous tires (dick cepek mud country 33x12.5) only lasted about 20k miles to bald, preformed terribly on road.

These ATs preform just as well off road and are in a whole different league on the street. much less tire roll in turns, great traction, extra smooth ride, and way less drag when i take my foot off the gas. the jeep feels much lighter on its feet compared to my last tires and honestly this is the tire that jeep should put on stock. they look pretty raw too, baja style almost. will post pics.

Any experience with these or other tires are welcomed.
Those two tires can't really be compared, because they are made for different purposes.
"The best Jeep tire" is something that doesn't exist, because it skips the question "The best Jeep tire for what". The best mud tire is not the best road tire and vice versa.

All Terrain tires are good for the widest variety of road and trail conditions.
Among the AT tires, I join the favorable opinions about BFG All Terrain tires.
Offroad, they grip way more than their treads look like, and better than some more aggressive looking treads.
On road, they behave very well in both dry & wet conditions.

They are among the slowest wearing, compared to other makes.

I also like the Mickey Thompson MTZ.

Default Nitto

I am running Nitto trail grapper MT's 35X12.50 on Motto metal 20's. I would not recommend them to anybody, at least not living here. Our Alaskan roads have groves in them from people running studded tires. The nitto's just love them and like to steer on thier own. It makes you keep both hands on the wheel!

I've got KM2's. They measured today at 14/32, with 25k miles on them. They were 17/32 new. I'm pretty thrilled with them, on and off road.

I've got falken wildpeaks. 285-70-17. Have been great on road, especially wet. Havent been in snow. Offroad in norcal chapparal trails, crossing streams, some rocks goin upstream. Late summer, dry with some puddles from one rainy day 3 days prior. They have been great offroad so far. Plenty of grip. The not-so-agressive look of the tread belies it's impressive performance for an AT (imo). I have not ran them in any real mud yet, so can't comment. Overall tho, been a great tire. I chalk tested em to 32psi for road use. Offroad havnt gone less than 28 yet. Decent wear wear with abt 10k on them.

Thanks all. Looks like it's a combination of several things. First, minimal siping. Second, I'm getting hard... er tires. My rubber is slick, especially when wet. (See what I did there?)

Tough room.

Thanks for the insight.
