Default Input on lifts ?

I was thinking about getting a rough country 6 for my 2013 jeep rubicon but people say ill have to change my axels... I don't really want to get into that kinda stuff right now. So is there any truth to this?

Change your axles because of a lift? Thats funny, what reasoning did they say for that?? No you don't need to change your axles because of a lift. You would change axles because of tire size

It actually says on the rc site under notes that 2012-13 modules require exhaust modification to clear the front drive shaft then goes on to say front and rear drive shafts are required to replace the factory limited travel shafts

And? That's your drive shaft not your axle. You can either get an exhaust spacer or a new front driveshaft. No matter what lift you go with you'll need to address this. If you have a 2dr you'll need to get a new rear driveshaft also due to the steep angle.

If your going big, be ready for big expense. 6" lift, are you planning on 40" tires? If you want 35" tires, you can go with a 2.5" lift. Any lift over 3" will affect your driveshafts. Larger than 35s on tires mean a greater possibility of re-gearing.

Teraflex has two great YouTube vids regarding tire size and lift. It will answer many questions. They are also a great sponsor.

What size of tires are you looking to run?

You can run 37's with 3.5" of lift and flat fenders so 4" would be more than enough for ya without the body lift
