So I currently have tf leveling kit in my rubi with 35's and have been thinking about the 2.5 TeraFlex lift, but will it make that much of a difference. Will you be able to tell the difference between a leveled and the 2.5 inch. Because the level is 2 inch spacers upfront and one in the rear. Will the extra .5 inch upfront make that much of a difference?

you're going to get more than 2.5" out of a 2.5" teraflex lift, but if I was going to do it again I would have gone straight for a 3.5" or 4" lift. I'm gonna end up eventually removing what I have and going to a 4" would have saved myself a lot of money if I had just gone big from the start.

If I go over 2.5 I would have to deal with drive shafts and things like that. And that not really what I wanna do.

Even if I did want to go bigger once i had the 2.5 inch lift I could add an inch spacer

But my only worry is that there won't be much of a difference between the leveling kit I have now and the 2.5 inch coil lift I'm looking at.

what I'm saying is with the leveling kit you're only gaining 2 inches in the front one in the rear. with a 2.5" coil lift you'll end up with more like 3". Some people have gotten 4" or more out of a 2.5" lift. Honestly when I look at jeeps with leveling kits on them I can't even tell they did it, I don't have that problem when looking at coil lifts.

Got any pictures of your Jeep? I'm running the same setup (35s and leveling kit), and also looking to upgrade to a 2.5" coil lift. I'm probably going to remove 1" in the front and leave in 1" all around on top of the 2.5".

That's exactly what I was thinking about doing but I didn't know if that would cause me to have to switch out drive shafts. But that is what I really wanted to do.

I have a 2012 and had to change my front drive shaft when I put the initial 2.5" lift on. This is 315/75 16 toyo's with a 2.5 teraflex and a 1" spacer all the way around.

It's going to be relative to your Jeep and what you have done to it. Previous to my lift I had swapped out my OE springs for stiffer OE springs. I also swapped out my OE bumpers for Mopar steel bumpers, and I added a winch, so my net gain wasn't as much as others have reported. Unless you completely stripped out your rig, the height gain from a 2.5 inch lift shouldn't create enough height to need a new driveshaft.

If you added leveling pucks or a body lift, then you added more than the 2.5 inch lift so in essence you installed a 3.5 inch lift.
