Default Install ?'s for ARB diff covers....

Will be doing this next weekend. For those of you that have installed ARB diff covers, are there any "gotcha's" or issues to address? Or will these be a straightforward install? I will be using WOL's write up for guidance.

Thanks for any help.

I've found that diff covers are pretty straight forward, one thing I would highly recommend is lube locker diff seals. I use those and the tightening pattern that comes with them and I've never had an issue

Easy as pie! Straight up install. And if you have the opportunity, use lube lockers

X3 on the lube lockers. The only tricky part is getting the right oil level. Royal Purple is very good.

I used the lube lockers and a good torque wrench.
Used Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube 75-90, 75-140 in the rear.
One thing, get everything squeeky clean and you'll have zero worries.

Don't over torque the bolts, especially with Lube Lockers.

at least one of the top bolts on both the front and rear diffs was a real pain in the ass for me to get to and could not get a torque wrench on 1 top one each diff. Stock suspension for me maybe makes a difference otherwise not too complicated.

I had some trouble getting to the top bolts on the front and rear diffs too. My options were to remove the track-bars or (what I wound up doing) rig up an extension with a universal on the end. I'm not sure if that changes the torque, but I got it to work

I just did those 2 bolts by 'feel' as close as I could to the ones I used the wrench on. If the track bar wasn't there could def do it but didn't want to mess with those bars in fear of death wobble!!! lol

Jack up the axle a bit, set it on jack stands ( don't tell me you're doing mods to the JK yourself and don't have a decent set of tall jack stands, NAPA $65 - cheaper on the internet) and drop the axle a bit. That and an extension on the torque wrench'll make it easy for you.
