installed E3 spark plugs and my gas mileage went down 1.5 mpgs ??????????
They sound like a magic plug because they try to sell you on the fact that having that many ignition points should lead to a hotter spark but if we all remember that electricity looks for the shortest path. Then we realize that a spark plug with a single, highly conductive tip will always function better than 3 crappy tips. Properly gapped, single tip platinum plugs will be your friend until we start running engines on hopes and dreams. Sorry you got sold the ol' snake oil.
The only time i've used NGK products were in my performance motors in my past 2 cars. Granted this is just my opinion but keep it pretty much close to OEM and you'll be fine and no issues at all. These are simple none performance engines so nothing too special is needed. I went with champion plugs and its been great so far.

Copper are the best to use as copper is the best conductor of current next to gold. Even platinum is somewhat snake oil. You don't get any more spark from them. Maybe greater life but not greater performance.
