Default Installing 4" lift What control arms?

Some fellow members from the Jk forum are helping me install a lift. Thanks Guys!!! But my question is what minimal control arms can I get away with for a while ? Uppers, Lowers Front or rear. I have a 6 speed Sahara. Looking to spend less then $500.

Do you have a 4 door? You can "get by" without any but it probably won't drive very good. Go with front lowers and rear uppers.

The minimum recommended control arms are front lowers, to adjust caster, and rear uppers, to adjust pinion angle.

I'm running the RC 4" with front adjustable lowers set at 23" and it drives great.

There are some members running that set up. I have all eight. The nice thing is that you can start with the front lowers and rear uppers then add the rest later if you feel you need them.

Thanks guys! I won't be doing any rock climbing, just mud. Can I get away with none or even just front lower? sorry I'm just wondering safety plus I don't have the extra cash at the moment.

I think with a 4" lift you will at least wont front lowers to adjust caster and help keep the steering from being flighty.

Do you think I can get away with front lowers only? Have you have seen that done? I can afford the front lowers and get the rest in a couple months. (I should wait for everything before I get the lift installed but its been two months)
