Default Installing Lift

Hey all, may be a stupid question....but, here goes.

When installing lift, is it possible just using a Floor jack? Will that make replacing lower control arms easier? With a RK 3.5 will the control arms be pre-set at the correct length or will they need to be adjusted for the castor? I know this is a relatively easy install, just unsure about those 2 areas

Thanks again

You can easily use a floor jack to get this done, just take your time and make sure it's secure when you are under Jeep (use jack stands or wood blocks.

The control arms, if they are adjustable, will NOT beset, you will have to. My RK lca's are at 23 1/8 I think. It was what they recommended. It was right on for my lift, which is a TF 2 1/2 inch. Make sure you locktite the nuts once you get them set.

Follow the directions carefully, and if you have to call, their staff is first rate and will answer any and all questions, have fun and post pic when you're done!

X 2 on the above post.

You can absolutely use a Floor Jack and jack stands for the entire lift.

Get a buddy, chalk your wheels, and put the E-brake on and you will be done in no time.

Give us a shout if you have absolutely any questions. Thanks for chosing RK..

Be sure to set the arms to the measurements in the instructions to start with... They are extremely close..... Most people do not have to adjust them after that...

Thanks everyone, I have to say. I have a TJ with 6 inches of lift I gave to my son and am now building my JK. The RK lift is unreal. The quality of the product is second to none. It's not on yet, but I am extremely excited!

Can I run this kit with 37's and not do any offroading until I get Flats?

eh, i would probably trim your fender flares and with that, you could definitely run 37's.
