Default (: Installing River Raider Skids on 2012 and have a torque question :)

Will soon be installing the full river raider skid system in aluminum and I see the instructions call for mounting the oil skid to the engine motor mounts. Does anyone know what the proper torque numbers are when tightening them back up? Much appreciated.

You can never go wrong with, good and tight. Seriously, good and tight will do just fine.

I didn't say use a breaker bar on it. Use your judgement, a quarter turn after the nut tightens should do it.

I gotcha... I have been improving, but always have that "humm was that enough".

What size are the bolts? Torque should be based on bolt size and material. From there you can google up a torque table. Good and tight is bad, unless your talking about your girlfriend.

Here you go. Use "lubricated" value if loctite is used. http://www.cncexpo.com/MetricBoltTorque.aspx

I don't know for sure of the motor mount torque specs are in here, but it might be worth a shot to check through it.

I had the same question, installing a Skid Row engine skid plate, and some other threads said that the torque on the bolts on the motor mounts is 45 ft lbs. Good luck on getting a torque wrench in there, though.
