Default Installing TeraFlex Sliders, need your advice

So, I follow the directions to a 'T' and it seems as though the nut inserts are not uniform in outer diameter because some holes are snug and some just fall right back out or spin in the hole. None fit well enough to get the bolts tight.

Anyone else have a similar issue during install? I really like the design and now, with 7 holes in each side of the body, am pretty much stuck with the choicebut I need some suggestions on how to secure the nut inserts so the bolts tighten enough to secure the steps and support someone's weight.

thanks,

I've had some customers that run a tap down the center of the nut zerts after they are installed. You have to crank those nut zerts down hard.

The nutserts are uniform. When I did it, I remember that the drill would wobble and thus give irregular hole sizes. Mine worked out, but don't remember much. Maybe lube the screw some, as the screw when inserted, will spread the nutsert to a bigger diameter and will "catch". Once it catches, you are fine. The tap would make it ever easier to screw into. Homo Depot sells taps cheap, er well 5 bucks.
