Default Instrument Panel light came on! What does it mean?!?

This morning on my way to work a symbol lit up on the instrument panel.
It looked like a red lightning bolt inside one of these ) ( . I called the dealership and was told that it stands for ETC light (Electronic Throttle Control). There was no change on performance of the vehicle, no rough idling that I noticed. I finally pulled in my job's parking lot. Turned off the car and started it back up and the light was gone! But it still worries me. The only modification I've done is a 2.5 BB lift kit and 35 inch tires. Currently running on a 4.10 gears. Does anyone had this happened to them?? Should I be worried?

You probably accidentally hit the gas and brake at the same time, it can come on for that.

If it comes on again, there may be a code in the system that you can check.

Same thing happened to me when I reached about 515 miles on my new Jeep. Except mine when the light came on turned the cruise control off and made the gas pedal work when it wanted to. When I shut the Jeep off and turned it back on the light went out for awhile but after awhile it would come back on and give fits. I had it towed to the dealer and they couldn't find the problem so what they did was reflashed the PCM and now I have 4,400 miles on the Jeep and it hasn't gave me any problems since the reflash.
