Default Which Intake? Chip?

I have a bone-stock 07 JK.. And I assume my first upgrades should be a chip and Intake. I'd like your advice on which brands to buy for each. Which has the most bang for the buck? Or does one just out-perform the rest? Any help is much appreciated.

I would go with upgrades before chip and intake. Stock you will barely notice the difference. Go with rails, lift, tires ect....

I have 35's and a 2.5 lift, haven't gotten an intake or chip yet. Superchips is my next purchase, but I have zero regrets doing it in this order.
As for intake, I'm waiting on the rugged ridge snorkel!!!

I installed my superchip when I was still stock and noticed a considerable difference and increase in overall performance. If I had known how much better my JK ran with the superchip, I would have made the purchase a year prior.

I also have an intake, but installed the AEM Brute Force after my lift and 35's.....so, not sure performane wise if I gained much or anything. However, I do love the sound I get and at least it makes me feel like there's more power there. I like that the AEM has a dry filter that doesn't need to be oiled and can be washed with soap and water for its lifetime.

Best bang for the buck will not be any of the above upgrades.

This is hit and miss. Most people I have talked to SPECIFICALLY about this set-up, will not agree on this opinion.

And it all boils down to what you use your Jeep for.

If you don’t feel a difference or they are ineffective when it is stock why does every body sell them for street vehicles (cars and trucks)?

Have to disagree as well. I noticed a considerable difference when I put on the Air Raid CAI and programmed it with a Hypertch Max Energy Power programmer, great investment. I have heard a lot of great things about the Superchips as well.
