Default Intake, Exhaust or Tuner?

Evening JKers,

Need opinions/recommendations for my first performance mod. I have a stock 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I am looking to increase throttle response and mpg. I plan on eventually lifting it, maybe in a year. My use is mostly stop and go city driving, about 4 miles one way to work. Sometimes driving on sand at the beach with the occasional mud trail (alleys and empty fields).

What do you all recommend I do first?

Intake? - (Volant)

Exhaust? - Banks?

Or Tuner? - Superchips, etc...

Help!

My 07 I had an AFE ram air intake (not a true cold air) magnaflow exhaust. Throttle response was great, got a little better mpg that I noticed. Never got to a tuner.

I now have a 12 rubi. Put ideally the same intake on it already. Love the way it sounds, and I'm getting maybe 1mpg better, if I don't mash the throttle to hear how awesome that intake sounds. I will be getting exhaust when I can afford it. Hopefully helps some.

Why banks? Is it backed by a manufacturer warranty?

I would go with the Diablo Sport In Tune DCX. You can adjust your throttle response and up your hp. Welcome to the forum.

Not wanting to argue here, just an contrary opinion offered for consideration:
Perhaps nothing on that list is worth the time, trouble, or dollars. Manufacturer's claims and user review's may be over rated.

Here's a few generic thoughts: Tuner's may change the throttle pedal response curve so less pedal movement results in more actual throttle opening so it "feels" like there's more power with less throttle pedal. Air intakes can get improved dyno numbers by decreasing filter efficiency -- less pressure drop across the filter equals slightly more air, power, and dirt too. And of course some aftermarket intakes are more susceptible to ingesting water.

No reason, just liked the look of it... I'm open to suggestions though...

I get what you're saying, I do, and any minimal gains might not be worth the time and trouble to get installed. However, I am not happy with what the Jeep is putting out. I had a Dodge Ram for 9 years before the Jeep and I am used to getting the desired response when I mash the pedal. Yes I know two different platforms, engines, etc. Anyway, my Ram had the 4.7, small V8 in a big truck. I added a MAC Performance Intake, a ported Fastman Throttle Body as well as an Aero Tubine Exhaust, trust me, it made a BIG difference in that Truck! MPG went up by 2, Throttle response was great, and the sound was amazing! Anyway, thanks for your input.
