Default Inverted Swaybar

I took the jeep out today to test the new bilstein 5160s and hit a hard bump at medium speed, certainly wasn't anticipating it and was going fast er than I would have liked to have been. About a minute later I noticed and felt the front end "popping" like I was riding on the frame, when I checked I noticed that both swaybar links were inverted or flipped the opposite direction to where it was blocked by the tie-rod. My question since this has never happened before, is this prone to happen from time to time? Or is there some other reason. I realize that when unlocked the swaybar could swing full rotation if it could, but I wasn't disconnected when it happened. My other thought is that the new shocks and 1/2" spacer installed too could mean that with the extra 1" lift the links are not long enough? Let me know what you guys think and thanks in advance. Oh the stock rubicon electric swaybar appears to be working just fine....Here's a picture from lunch before it happened

The reason it happened is your swaybar links aren't the correct length. U want the swaybar, at rest, sitting level or slightly up, not down.

ok great as I suspected. I have the 2.5" coil lift and associated links - who makes a correct length link and what size would I go to, 3" I assume?

Well since u have a rubi with the edisco I would just get adjustable links, not disco links, and set the length accordingly. It all depends on your height how long they need to be. I have ones from northridge on my rubi.

Since you have the 2.5" lift the stock rears will fit the front very well. If you're interested I can sell you a set for $20 plus shipping. No need to spend a lot if you are not going to lift higher.
