Issue Resolved with Discount Tire Direct
As anyone ever had something like this happen. Anyone ever deal with anything like this... I placed an order for a set of wheels and tires this morning, about 6 hrs later they call me back and say sorry the price of the tire is now 65 more per tire. I asked how this is possible, they said they must have had a glitch in the system last night with pricing. I think they should have to honor the pricing but they basically said I'm SoL and I can pay the new price or cancel order. I could understand if something like a $10,000 glitches for $100, but this seems like bad business not to honor the pricing.
This was for tires for my car, not that it matters...

That's odd, they've honored price glitches in the past. When they don't honor the old price then typically they'll discount their tire warranty program if you opt for it.
Also, they have a discount for forum members.
I've bought probably 8 sets of tires from them for my cars, trucks, and jeeps.

( dtd should back up the price advertised) to do the right thing as a reputable vendor would do .

Did they have any legal mumbo jumbo on their site that says they can do this? Most states have laws that say if you mark it for some price, you have to honor it - in retail stores. I don't think the same thing applies to online retail.
I just bought wheels and tires from 4 Wheel Parts. The wheels I wanted, they wouldn't be able to get for months, so I ended up getting a more expensive wheel. But when I found the wheel online for a lot less, they matched the price, plus gave me a better price on the tires. I still paid a little more than the original wheels I ordered, but I ended up with a wheel I like even better.
Call 4 Wheel Parts and see if they can't give you a better deal. They might, just to get your business.

This guy was just like yeah sorry either pay the extra money or pound sand.
I really couldn't believe DTD would do that to a customer over a smaller amount of money.
I'm also on a Ford forum for my Focus ST and they feel the same way basically....this is a bush league move.
Seems some of their products online need updating. I buy all my tires via DTD. 2 weeks ago I bought a set of 4 wheels and 4 tires for my wife's Matrix. DTD calls me the next day to let me know that both items I'd ordered were discontinued and no longer available.
Justin that was helping me, said I could pick different wheels/tires and be charged the exact same cost I was originally going to pay. That said I got nicer wheels than original choice with $16 less per wheel
Worked out nicely.
