Default Jack Question - What do I need?

Hi all,

I want to start doing more to my JK by myself (lift, tire, suspension stuff) and I'm in the market for some jacks to get the thing up off the ground. I'm running a 4" lift with 35s. Can anyone recommend what kind, how many, type, etc?

Much appreciated.

Ive used 'regular' pump arm hydrolic jacks paired with a 4x4 block to get it up enough... Then place 6 ton jack stands.

Get yourself a truck jack (not the tiny car ones) and some good sizeable axle stands.

Just about any floor jack will do in a garage setting. Jack the vehicle from under the axle and place the stands under the frame. If u have a jack that lifts 22", that should be plenty of hight to do a lift or just about anything.

The AEV jack base is very simple, light weight, relatively inexpensive, and stores in your JK nicely. Check it out
