it may also be your TIPM, mine went nuts last year, lights, horn/alarm, wipers/washers all going crazy! flashing honking and wiping... engine cut off as well. Just something to consider.

I have had my dual battery setup for about 4 months and that's what I am thinking about something shorting out. I'm definitely going to try to install the isolator this weekend.

Does that sound normal on a 2012 like that's no exactly what happened to mine but that's pretty close I just hope all the systems to go wacko on me when I'm driving it on the highway.

mine started off with the wipers giving just a twitch when I'd shut the door, then it got to the point where when I hit a bump it would cycle the wipers and honk the horn... and the. it just went crazy on my way to lunch one day with everything going nuts! Mine is an '08 so I don't know if they are using the same module in the newer models or not, but it was a dealer only item that had to be installed by them because it required reprogramming of the module once installed. You can try and test it by popping your hood and finding the module, on mine it's a big black box on the pass side, feel it, it may be really hot first thing in the morning. Turn on the key and go check it again, tap it a few times... the dealer did all of those things to troubleshoot mine after I had already diagnosed it for them... when mine would act up I could open the hood and hit it and it would stop. Best of luck!

for some troubleshooting I'd disconnect the accessories and run a single battery to see if the gremlins still exist...
