Jeep has some problems can someone explain to me why this happens
1.so my jeep was tooken in to get a checkup sorta speak at a shop in oklahoma. the owner who works on jeeps noitced that my 4 inch rough country lift has 6 inch shocks in the front and were blown because i only have a 4 inch lift. also the tie rod is shot at well. talked to rough country and they were pretty helpful just trying to get a better explanation on why this stuff would happen. i have stock control arms and with 35's. why and how would the tie rod blow and would it be bec of the shocks.
2. the price quote i got from them to replace the tie rod, install nitro axel sleeves, put on the northridge bolt kit and replace the 2 front shocks for all that, is gunna be 480 i think that sounds fair knowing im deployed and cant really do any of the stuff right now.
3. fixing the tie rod and replacing the shocks should help with road walk correct, my jeep is a little flighty, but nuthing crazy.
thanks for any suggestions, and if this is in the wrong area sorry bout that

Price wise thats a good deal but I'd ask what they are going to use as a replacment for your Tie rod and what type of shocks? If your going to replace those items it might be a chance to upgrade them especially the tie rod. I bent my stock tie rod wheeling so I've taken the chance to upgrade it with the Synergy Tie Rod but that tie rod is $300 but it's 200% stronger then stock.
With 4" of lift, at minimum, front adjustable lower control arms will fix your flighty feeling. There are many brands out there. If you're on a budget, you can always do drop brackets instead and keep your stock arms.
he said he is putting a stock one on. and the reason is bec i would have to put heim joints in and he didnt suggest that. didnt really believe him on that, but it gets the jeep out of the shop and the wife happy bec its not gunna be that exspensive for everything to be done. half of the price quote was the sleeves. i know they make other tie rods and obv an aftermarket one is better than the stock one but like i said before the wife is fine with that price and she will be able to drive it back to tn
also with the control arms i was planning on getting the front lower but then this turned up so gotta wait
