For a trail rig....possibly. I don't think I'd feel great about driving down the interstate with those spinning round. Curious why? new shafts aren't that much money.

Why were they broken in two places? Was that an exploded u-joint yoke repair? I am with Resharp - get a new one for peace of mind. Are they in perfect alignment along the length of the shaft? And to make a good repair I would imagine there is some heat treating of the components to take place prior to welding. Those are all hardened steel bits.

And the welding process doesn't look that great either. Were they jigged for trueness? or did we just do goodenuff

First post and no followup. I'm really curious to hear the story behind this one. I think we'll remain in the dark though.
