Question Jeep Paint coating?

Hey all

Have any of you heard of some sortof coating that you can get done to your jeep (the outside metal) which helps to protect it from trail 'pin-striping' by bushes?

lemme know, i want to get it done (im in AZ) but i dont even know what its called or how much it might cost, how it works etc.

The only thing close to this that I've heard of being done is magnetic panels being put on while off roading to take the abuse.

Like the clear stick on plastic covering used mostly on front ends? Like a clear bra type of deal. We used to sell it at our dealership... It was from 3M I believe. It is cut out around headlights, grills and whatnot. A lot of RV people have it done to their rigs to prevent stone chips etc.

You are probably talking about the Gel Coating they used to do on the H-1's for the same reasons. Same thing they use on boats.

3M is selling this under the Scotchguard label. One product is for home use and the other one is for professional use.
