Default Jeep programmers/ chip

M thinking about getting a programmer/chip/ or a tuner. Anyone have any suggestions. I'm looking for something good for the price that gives more power and better mpg. I'm not looking for having to use a higher octane fuel. Anyone have anything in mind? I also don't want the chance of messing anything up on my jeep

Are you running aftermarket / oversized tires (35" +) and changed axle gear ratios ? If not, I think there is not much bang for the buck in getting a programmer. I am not an expert, but that's what I've learned so far.

Default Superchips

I have owned a procal and now a superchips vivid linq. If you have an android phone already, do not hesitate to buy the vivid linq, its awesome. I am not sure how it will change your MPG, didn't chang mine much, but it does improve performance. The ability to modify shift points (for $40 extra) is great too. Even without the advanced trans tune, you can still get better "superchips" shift points. Don't get me wrong, it won't turn your jeep into a Ferrari, but its noticeable and for $350, much cheaper than any other performance mod with noticeable gains. I am not sure what you mean about "messing up your jeep", just follow the instructions and don't unplug the cable during tuning. Should be fine. Long story short, Superchips, or superchips vivid linq, if you have an android phone would be my recommendation.

Get the superchips, hands down... others come close but not quite. best mod you will do for your jeep... search on here i'm sure you'll see same comments from people with it.
Thats why they are harder to find used and more expansive when used.

I'm really surprised Predators aren't as popular on this board. On the last two vehicle forums I was a part of, they were top dog for handhelds.
