Default Jeep is very rough on road

I just bought a 2018 jk with about 20,000 miles on it. I think it has a teraflex lift kit with about 2-2.5 inches of lift. It’s not a spacer kit it’s a spring kit. It has the lowest end teraflex shocks the ones that are black and red. It also is running some 33s on stock rims. Ever sense having the jeep i have been extremely underwhelmed by the on road performance. Every time i go over a bump or hit a bump it is extremely jarring. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me.

Check your tire pressure. Frequently they're set too high and that's the root of the issue. What brand/ type of tire is on it?

I have a similar (but less intense) issue with my 255/75 17 BFG KO2s
What air pressure does everyone suggest for daily on road driving?

Ive also wondered if the added weight of the tire to the unsprung weight overcomes the stock shock's dampening ability

they are yokohama geolanders and it’s around 37-39 psi on the tires.

Yokohama geolanders come in various varieties from street to mud but 37-39psi is much too high. You should be in 30-35psi range depending on the weight of the vehicle and when width in relation to tire width.

With it being the 285/70-17, it's also possible that they're a heavier load range. Realistically, the jeep only needs a C load range tire. It's not heavy and we're not permitted to tow much. The tire industry is a little behind so many of the offerings that we try to stuff on the vehicle are designed for heavier trucks with some weight behind them. If they're an E load range then maybe knock down to 30-32psi and see what the ride is like. When you get down below 30 you'll potentially notice fuel economy drop....which is why everyone jacks their pressures up to 40- try to squeeze every mpg out of the vehicle at the cost of the ride being harsh and burning through tires in the center.

I think my old BFG's were load range E with the same 121/118s on the side. I absolutely vote yes on 32psi. Your TPMS system may have the threshold set at 35psi in which case you can try that pressure and see if it makes any difference or look into a cheap Bluetooth dongle and the Jscan app (iOS or Android) to set the threshold lower.
