Default Jeeperman Bumper

Just curious. Does this tire carrier hold the tire out further from the body than most. Is there a way to suck it in a little closer to the back of the jeep. With narrower tires, there would be even more space. Others don't seem to be out this far. Is that for clearance for gas can racks, etc? I like the bumper tire rack combo, but this kind of bothers me. Seems like the tire should at least suck up to some bumpers on the rack.

as opposed to these two

It does stick out quite a bit but I think it's so that you can mount your Hi-Lift Jack underneath it. I don't think you can suck it in without your tire getting in the way of the jack.

EDIT: I hope you don't mind but I changed your links so that people don't have to click on them to see the pics

That's a nice tire carrier! I like the looks. I thought it was missing bumpers or something, good to hear they come with the kit.
